CyPassCyPass Micro-Stent is a device that is designed to lower eye pressure. CyPass is implanted during cataract surgery, just below the surface of the eye, where the colored part (iris) meets the white part of the eye (sclera).

This device is recommended for patients undergoing cataract surgery, that could not keep their eye pressure under control with medications or laser surgery. It is very small, measuring only 6.3 mm in length by 0.5 mm wide.

The CyPass Micro-Stent will not cure or reverse any damage caused by glaucoma, but can possibly reduce or eliminate the need for pressure-lowering eye drops.

Kung Eye Center is excited to offer this technology at its Staten Island, NY and East Brunswick, NJ location.
