AlloFlo

Struggling with glaucoma despite treatment? You may be the perfect candidate for a revolutionary new treatment called AlloFlo. With this innovative technology, you can finally find relief from high intraocular pressure.

What is AlloFlo?

AlloFlo is a new bio tissue by Iantrek. It’s placed into the supraciliary space to treat glaucoma. It works by increasing the flow of fluids from the eye to decrease intraocular pressure and has been shown to be the most effective minimally-invasive glaucoma procedure available today. Instead of using the trabecular network, AlloFlo uses a different drainage pathway: the uveoscleral outflow. This pathway and AlloFlo help treat glaucoma easily and effectively.

The bio tissue ensures there is no mismatch between it and the surrounding tissue, and it’s also highly porous and permeable, making it the perfect solution to glaucoma.

Dr. Kung was among the first in the country to implant this device and has further refined and improved the surgical procedure. He has become a Key Opinion Leader and teaches other glaucoma surgeons how to insert the device in the most precise way possible.

AlloFlo Procedure

AlloFlo is a very straightforward procedure. It starts with the administration of local anesthetic to ensure you’re completely comfortable. From there, AlloFlo will be administered through a small injection. It’s typically placed at the angle of the eye or around the targeted tissues. At most, the procedure will take about 15 minutes.

Recovery After AlloFlo

As AlloFlo is an outpatient procedure, there will be a short period where we monitor for any adverse side effects, and then you’ll be able to go home. We’ll give you a detailed list of instructions on how best to take care of your eyes after the procedure and schedule follow-up appointments to check on your progress.

You should see improvement in your glaucoma systems as well as any inflammation in the weeks following treatment.
