Preston Kung, MD, MBA is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in Cornea, Glaucoma, Cataract, and Refractive problems. His unique training across multiple ophthalmic subspecialties allows him to provide advanced, comprehensive care for a wide range of complex eye conditions.
Dr. Kung graduated from Stony Brook University through its prestigious BS/MD program, an accelerated program that combined his undergraduate and medical education. During this time, he also earned an MBA degree. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Temple University Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident, received the Academic Excellence Award for two consecutive years, and was chosen to serve on the Residency Selection Committee.
He then completed a highly competitive combined Cornea and Glaucoma Fellowship at the University of New Mexico, one of the few fellowship programs in the country offering advanced training in both subspecialties. This specialized training has provided Dr. Preston R. Kung with expertise in the medical and surgical management of Cornea, Glaucoma, Cataract, and Refractive problems. Throughout his training and career, Dr. Preston R. Kung has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented his research at national ophthalmology conferences. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Glaucoma Society, and the Cornea Society. Outside of the office, Dr. Kung enjoys playing chess and tennis, photography, traveling the world, and volunteering alongside his wife.
